Inebriated Baby, Friends, More Milestones, Mother's Day, Bathtime Baby

Lucy never fails to humor me. Here she is in her usual drunken state. She looks like she just left a college kegger. How she manages to get through her day without tipping people off? Two words: functional drunk...

Monday we were lucky enough to have lunch with a friend from school. Amanda is not only a great friend, but also a super-mom to three young boys. And goes to school AND works, I'm in awe of how she does it all. We had a great time and can't wait to see her again.

My first official Mother's Day to a human (not dog) was wonderful. Lucy and Ted bought me a pair of wedges I had been eyeballing. We went to church and spent the afternoon with the Smiths. Then we came home, took a long walk and watched all of the shows we had DVRed. It was a great day. Lucy also decided that she would surprise me by nearly crawling/lunging off the bed. She's not quite mastered that skill yet, and hasn't done it since. It was only a few days ago she started pushing that big upper body of hers up, and it was also at that time she started lunging for things. She's turned into the spawn of Evil Knievel.

We saw Mallory and Emily this afternoon, and Mallory took her first steps... on her first birthday! She is such a big girl now. I was talking to Lucy about it when we got home, and not to be outdone, she decided today was the day she would start pulling up on furniture. What am I going to do now? I suppose it's time to baby-proof the house.

I decided to throw in some bathtime pictures. No reason in particular except nekkie babies are soooo cute! She loves her baths and showers. She especially loves splashing Mom. That's what she's contemplating in the first picture.

Oh my god those first couple of pictures are hilarious! My husband was just looking at me like I'm an idiot.

Go Lucy! Gives me hope that Savannah may someday decide to get mobile without our help.

Da...she is just as adorable as always! Pulling up on furniture definitely classifies her as a "big girl"! Now your exercise begins...as you chase after Lucy!
