Rest in Peace My Sweet Boy

My little boy passed away at 2:30 PM this last Thursday. It was untimely, unfortunate, and devastating, but his liver was failing and his body just got tired of fighting.

I adopted Ted when he was barely and month and a half old. He was the runt of his litter and in my eyes irresistable. It would be the first time in my life I would experience love at first sight. For the longest time, he was my whole heart. We were two peas in a pod. As we grew and matured together, so did our family. Charles easily stepped into the role of Dad, and Lucy the annoying little sister. He loved us with a fierceness I can't begin to explain, and we loved him just the same. He was loyal, and he was our protector. He was crazy, yet he brought sanity to our household. He was a gift; the most precious gift no amount of money could buy or replace. If you were to open up my chest to peek at my heart, you would find a paw print. He left his mark and taught us what selfless love truly is. Our lives will never be the same. He was wonderful.

Ted, we will miss you everyday until we get to see you again. Be a good boy.

Da - You brought me to tears, I'm not kidding. I know how devastating it is to lose a pet - they truly are members of the family. I once heard someone say "Losing a family member is devastating, no matter how many legs they have"
I'm thinking of you guys!

Da,

So sorry to hear about your dog! He sounds like such a wonderful pet and such an important part of your life!

I had a cat that I grew up with and was close to for many many years that we had to put to sleep in 2003 - same kind of situation as what you went through - he was suffering and we couldn't let it go on. It was one of the most devastating experiences of my life and it was extremely hard for me.

I can only imagine what you're feeling and what you're going through. All that you can tell yourself is that his life AND your life was better because you had each other and you made each other happy.

Wherever he is, you can bet he's running, playing and eating plenty of steak. :)

We'll be thinking of you guys,
Brian

So so sorry to hear about Ted :( I never met him obviously but in all the pictures he looked like such a love.

I hope, in time, the pain lessens. I'm sure you will do everything to keep him a part of your family still!

I know how much you loved Ted...he was very lucky to have you as his family. It's good to know he's no longer in pain, but it's obvious how much you miss him. You're in my thoughts.

Ted is one of the two best dogs I have ever known. Riley is for sure missing out on meeting such a wonderful man. He could have taught my large baby some stuff. I am sure they would have taken to each other just as you and I always have.
Ted was the first furball that ever stole my hart, and made me get that warm fuzzy feeling I got when I would see that tail wag as I walked through the door. I will always remember how he thought he was superdog with a cape. His hunter sniff and stance even when he was just nine weeks old. How my legs are never as comfortable as when he would sleep on them.
He is a great man and had many wonderful, fun, very loved years.
I love him and am definately thinking of you guys during this time.

Love and thoughts from my family,
Natalie, Thomas, and Riley

Dear Nanthida and Charles, Please accept my sincere sympathy------it is so hard to lose a pet, especially when he was in his prime. He cannot be replaced---but he can live on in your hearts! Love Mom
